Peter Velisek

Peter hails from the interior British Columbian Shangri-La of Nelson. He first found his passion for skiing as a racier and the technical skill developed here allowed him a smooth transition into the world of competitive Big Mountain skiing and the ability to work with professional photographers and videographers.

After several years as a Big Mountain Skiing competitor Peter now plays a valued roll as a judge for the sport while continuing to travel throughout the world. Filming and photoshoots have taken Peter throughout Western Canada and the United States as well as Scandinavia and Europe. Peter has appeared in movies, on television and has had many photos published in all top ski publications. 

"As my ski skills and experiences have developed I have really come to value the simplicity of skiing and the spirituality that it provides. Skiing has allowed me to travel to many amazing places but it has also allowed me to travel within as it acts as such a strong metaphor for life."
